Rockwell Automation, headquartered in Milwaukee, United States, is the largest industrial automation and IT company in the world. It is present in over eighty countries around the world and employs over 22,000 people.
The Polish market, on which RA has been operating for over 20 years, is one of the most strategic in terms of size and production scale. Here, RA is a supplier and leader of automation technology, while being its producer. Currently, the company operates in three cities: in Warsaw, Gdańsk and Katowice, has over 30 branches specialized in various areas and employs over 2,000 people. The largest is the production plant in Katowice, where the construction of the second hall has just been completed. The factory attracts companies from all over the world with its innovation and technological advancement. The latest solutions in the area of industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing are implemented here, including the concept of The Connected Enterprise, which RA first implements and tests in its plant before offering it to customers.
In addition, Rockwell Automation invests in research and development infrastructure in which new products, solutions and software are developed and then prepared for implementation. One of the newest units is the Power Control Business (PCB) center, specializing in low-power drive technology voltage.
Rockwell Automation supports the development of Polish scientists, specialists and engineers. As part of cooperation with the Silesian University of Technology, the company implements many educational initiatives and research projects, as well as a series of debates and conferences, and RA experts participate in selected thematic sessions as part of the MBA Industry 4.0 postgraduate studies.
